From a brand-new blackcurrant flavour to DJs and giveaways, KefiYo is giving Leeds food lovers another reason to pay a visit this October.
If there’s one thing Leeds food lovers have learned this year, it’s that frozen yoghurt is officially having a moment. And one of the city’s most talked-about new spots is getting ready to celebrate Halloween in style.
KefiYo, the colourful Mediterranean-inspired café that opened in Headingley this summer, is transforming its Ash Road location into a spooky-season destination with a limited-edition flavour, Halloween decorations, giveaways and DJs.
The star of the show? A brand-new blackcurrant frozen yoghurt, bringing a deliciously dark twist to the café’s famously colourful creations.
The limited-edition flavour is being introduced especially for Halloween and will sit alongside KefiYo’s existing range of frozen yoghurt favourites, offering another opportunity for customers to get creative with their bowls.
Those who have already visited KefiYo will know that customisation is a huge part of the experience.
Customers can choose from a variety of flavours and add unlimited standard toppings at no extra charge, with selected premium toppings and superfoods also on offer.
Regular favourites include passion fruit, strawberry, Biscoff, apple pie, chocolate orange and natural frozen yoghurt, plus a vegan coconut option.
But this Halloween, there’s more to discover than just a new menu addition.
Starting Wednesday 28th October, KefiYo will be getting into the spooky spirit with themed decorations, in-store activities and giveaways.
Then, as Halloween weekend arrives, the café will be bringing the party atmosphere with DJs on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, making it a fun stop for anyone celebrating in Headingley.
It’s another milestone for the independent Leeds business, which has enjoyed an impressive few months since opening.
With its colourful interiors, Mediterranean-inspired concept and Instagram-friendly bowls, KefiYo has quickly attracted a following among local students, families and food enthusiasts.
The buzz surrounding the café has also spread nationally, with coverage from BBC News, Business Insider and Yahoo helping put the Leeds-born brand on the map.
Beyond its frozen yoghurt offering, KefiYo has also been building a community around food, fitness and wellbeing, with Pilates pop-ups, run clubs and a wider menu featuring açaí bowls, smoothies, speciality coffees and matcha.
Its name comes from the Greek word “kefi,” meaning joy, passion and zest for life, something reflected in the brand’s playful approach to food.
With Halloween just around the corner, KefiYo is giving Leeds food lovers the perfect excuse to try something new, grab a bowl with friends and discover why this Headingley café has become such a talking point.
Halloween celebrations begin Wednesday 28th October, with DJs in-store on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October.
